If you’ve read my previous post with the same title, you’d know that I love Mandy by Dean Yeagle. So much in fact, that we’ve broken our game/comic-related-only rule just for her.
While we cancelled the ‘Walking in the Park’ version, I never stopped looking at the news page of the CS Moore website. And suddenly, I noticed that they’re releasing yet another variant. This time however, it’s almost just a simple recolor. They changed the blue to orange and the frog to a squirrel. While I love the color (orange is after all my favorite color), I don’t like the squirrel. The facial expression of the frog is a thousand times better than that of the squirrel. Besides, I just loved the frog in the ‘comics’, if you can call Yeagle’s art comics, as well while I don’t remember any squirrel…
While the other variant is highly limited to just 99 pieces, this one is less rare with its release of 500 pieces. And even though I really love Mandy, I just don’t love the statues that Moore pushes out. She still looks a bit weird but since I’ve yet to see some high quality pictures, I still don’t know whether it’s mostly because of the promotional/crappy shots or not.
If I ever come across the original variant (the blue one with the frog) cheaply, I’ll probably buy it. But for now, I’m waiting for the Electric Tiki one. Yesssss, they’re finally making a new one!
