And the second one in Sideshow Collectibles J. Scott Campbell Spider-Man collection is the tragic Gwen Stacy.

This one popped up on the internet about one or two months before this years SDCC were she was previewed. At that time, we didn’t know anything about her. Was she part of a line? What scale would she be? And also very important, when would she go up for pre-order and how much would she be? Well, all these questions have been answered by now.

Like Mary-Jane, Gwen Stacy is part of the J. Scott Campbell line which means that she’s 1/5th scale. I’m still sad that they didn’t make this line 1/4th but because we ordered MJ and want to complete the line, we ordered Gwen as well. I don’t love her as much as I do MJ but I still think that this design is great. I love the umbrella and the raindrops but I don’t like the fact that her eyes are completely closed. It would have been better if they would have been open at least a little bit. Of course, less to go wrong right? That is, not counting the breakage-dread that those raindrops form… Ah well, we’re still ordering her simply because we love Campbell.

But, like MJ, Gwen also doesn’t have an exclusive version. Not that I can think of anything to include (apart from the original artwork) although something like a shoulder bag would have been nice. Ah well… And like MJ, she also has a high edition size of 4.000 but, and this is the weird part, they’re going to make 2.000 less of Gwen than of MJ… Is Gwen really that much less popular than MJ? You tell me…
