I’m Ikaryas, I’m the one who came up with this idea and decided on the name given to this little project. Did I Mention I’m Crazy comes forth out of the strange looks we get when people see our collection.

Did I Mention I'm Crazy?

He makes me laugh.

And Sideshow Collectibles makes me cry… This was one of the two statues that I really was looking forward to after SDCC. It looked so good and with that little penguin with her, it was awesome. And because I didn’t believe that the penguin was the exclusive part of her, I kept wondering what it would be. It had so many possibilities!

And Sideshow didn’t come trough! Even though the statue itself looks awesome, the exclusive part is just too lame for words. It only includes a print! So many possibilities and they only give us a print! And a weird one at that. It looks more like they hadn’t had the faintest idea what to include and were running out of time so they asked someone to make a print. It looks like the print is based on the statue instead of the usual way around. Mind you, I don’t hate prints. I actually love them. I think that all exclusives should include a print. But not only a print. Exclusive should mean something. It should always include something extra besides that print, like a switchable head or arm or something.

The ideas that were flying around for this statue were a microphone on a stand, a switchable torso with a different face sculpt, a switchable arm holding a gun or a frying pan… It all was perfectly possible! Currently, even the penguin as exclusive would have sufficed. But no, a lame ass print!! Still pissed… Already had two statues with only a print while something extra would have been possible. But that’s a rant meant for a later post.

Now, the statue itself is gorgeous! Albeit it looks odd on some pictures. She’s got a bit of a baggy look going on on a few pictures like if the fabric isn’t placed right… But saw nothing of the likes on the SDCC pictures so I’m guessing it just crawled up a bit and they didn’t straiten it out… But they really captured Jessica Rabbit! The tiny heels, tiny hands, the mouth, the big eyes… Only thing still odd is the choice of dress. In the movie, she wears a pink sparkly dress, not a red sparkly one. She wears a red one though, but it ain’t a sparkly one… So, that isn’t really screen accurate but SS already said in the past that they value aesthetics over accuracy. So that would explain their choice or something?
What I really like is the penguin waiter. He’s so cute and it looks like he has a glass of Scotch on the Rocks. I hope they remembered to paint it like a rock instead of a ice cube. At least that would be awesome. Heh, Toons…

I don’t know if I’m going to buy her. I really like her. A lot. But I just hate that exclusive. Don’t really like the print. But also, I don’t want to break our ‘Exclusives Only’ rule. A well, don’t think she’ll sells out soon so I got some time. 325$ is a lot to shell out especially with this high of an edition size and don’t forget the NRD (non refundable deposit) on the exclusive… Maybe next month or something.

I included some SDCC pictures in the gallery as well. Enjoy.
