I’m Ikaryas, I’m the one who came up with this idea and decided on the name given to this little project. Did I Mention I’m Crazy comes forth out of the strange looks we get when people see our collection.

Did I Mention I'm Crazy?

Hey! Listen!

Sometimes, figure companies are so strange. Years go by without some decent merchandise for a game and suddenly, they’re all making stuff for it. While this is not really the case of the Legend of Zelda franchise since there have been quite a lot merchandise for it, larger figure collectors have been shouting for years for a decent 1/6 action figure. And finally, Medicom comes through! Yes indeed, Medicom is releasing an 1/6 scale action figure of the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Link.

Medicom is a Japanese company mostly known for their Be@rbrick figures and 1/6th scale Real Action Heroes (RAH) line. While we’re not that familiar with Medicom since we never bought anything made by them, we’re definitely going to buy this Link. He just looks so cool! Not only does he have quite a lot of display options, he also has ‘real’ clothing which includes fabric and leather accents.

So what about the display options? Well, not only does he come with his trusted shield and sword, but he also has a bow (and arrow) and the Stamina Beetle, both from Skyward Sword.
And that’s not all! You’ll also be getting two heads with movable eyes. Or to quote the Google translation:

Expression of two parts that can be replaced and the eyes of four parts.

Yeah… totally.

It also appears that multiple hands will be included. I’m counting four sets of hands, depending on whether or not the weapons are fixed to them. Since it’s not mentioned anywhere, we don’t know for sure. And lastly, it will include a figure stand.

While I still want merchandise from the Windwaker game, I love this one and I don’t think it should be missing from any game or Zelda collection. Pre-orders open up on the 24th of March as stated on the AmiAmi product page and he’ll retail for 19.800 JPY (or 15,800 JPY on AmiAmi). His releasedate is somewhere in November this year.

Now it’s hoping that they’ll make more from the Nintendo universe. And I’m so going to try making some nice 1/6th scale flower pots, rupees and other accessoires to go with him.
