It’s such a pity, I was so looking forward to the Darksiders 2: Death and Dust statue from Project Triforce. Don’t get me wrong, I still do but both his size and (inevitable) his price tag are holding me back a bit…

I was under the impression, going for the somewhat crappy screens we got initially, that this would be a 1/6th scale statue at the most. Which was absolutely fine by me.
It also looked a bit crude on the sculpting which isn’t that bad on a smaller piece.
But, it now appears that it’s closer to an 1/4th scale statue and with the dimensions stated, it’s a big, big boy! How big you ask? About 32 inch (~80cm) big! Yes, that’s why I said big…

But on the plus side, the sculpting does looks a lot better now and it will include a light up function as well. It definitely looks a lot better than the teased Sota one (Death on Despair) but that isn’t that hard since I don’t like their quality at all… Just read my review on their Embrace statue and see for yourself.

I really like that they went with an action pose like this because it really suits him and I just adore Dust. Isn’t he cute with that eyeball in his beak? So cute. I do wonder what the lightup will be. His eyes by the look of the pictures and the amulet probably as well. For me personally, it’s a gimmick. I much preferred if they had just cut the costs a little by not making him light up.

But the more I look at it, the more I’m starting to like him. Of course, now I need to decide; do I really need this? Do I need this?! Do I?! Argggh, I don’t know… I’ll most likely order it…
