Did I Mention I'm Crazy?

Forza Motorsport 3

I enjoy racing games as much as any other girl; cool for a moment but definitely not for days on a row. So when I could buy this special edition for less than the retail price for the regular, I didn’t hesitate. It got a cool key chain…

Forza Motorsport 3 was released late 2009 and frankly, I haven’t played it yet. Ingis did. But since I never discuss the games themselves, it’s hardly a problem. This is one of the tiniest special editions. It only includes a fancy box, a (very neat) key chain, an empty 2GB USB stick and some DLC. I still don’t get the empty USB. Why didn’t they include any nice extras like digital posters, screen-shots, … You know, the usual rubbish.

All the items really support the fancy look that Forza stands for. But unfortunately it’s only the look and not the quality. The outward appearance is nice with it’s sturdy cardboard sleeve and sleek looking wardrobe style box but that’s about it. The game case is a standard black and although it fits the special edition look, it looks cheap. They didn’t even bother to make something of the cover (both front and back).
Both the key chain and the USB stick have the Forza logo embedded on them and even though it looks a bit bad on the plastic USB, it looks real good on the key chain!
I just love that key chain. Even though I’ve read about the fact that the paint flakes fairly easily… It didn’t happen with mine. But I don’t use mine. I’ve got it on a shelf with all my other neat little key chains. I like key chains.

The DLC consists of a VIP Membership for use on the online Auction House and Community Storefront, an exclusive car pack of five cars and a theme for the Xbox 360 dashboard.

Conclusion
I don’t particularly like nor dislike this edition. Can’t say a lot of this one. If you find this cheap, why not? But I’d never pay as much as for a BioWare Dragon Age special edition even though it includes more… Personal preference I guess.

Pros:
– Steel key chain
– USB
Cons:
– No other physical goodies
