Did I Mention I'm Crazy?

Don’t forget… Now you and I are now true Brothers!

I’ve been waiting for this statue for quite a long time. I had it pre-ordered on the First4Figures website but canceled because I could get it a lot cheaper local. And since it didn’t matter where I bought it, because there isn’t an exclusive version and I already got a lot of different numbers in this line, I ordered it here. They almost made me regret it because they didn’t contact me when it was in stock! A lot of trouble later, I’m holding the great Sage of Fire in my hands!

Darunia is a, quite cute, character from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. He is the big boss of the Goron tribe living in Goron City on Death Mountain. He’s a bit rude in the beginning but after finishing a quest for him, aka getting them food, he accepts Link as his “brother” and gives him the Goron’s Ruby.
Damn… really need to replay those games.

First off, I already got almost all statues of this line. Just need the blue (Zora tunic) Link and I’m all set. Still need to find them among the many boxes to review them. But, like all First 4 Figure statues, you can really see the increase of quality over the years. Paint misses are almost non-existing, it all feels sturdy and of good quality and the paint application and sculpt are just great.
He’s also quite heavy, which someone who collects F4F statues as well found out the hard way… My advice: don’t put him on thin glass like the ones in the Detolf (Ikea) cabinets. And if you do, make sure to put him on the bottom shelf…

I kind of like it that they picked a more obscure character like Darunia. We see far to little stuff of characters like him. It’s always Link, Link, Link. That said, I kinda regret that they went for such a stoic pose. Don’t really know what they have could done differently but still… it’s a bit of a boring pose. Luckily, it’s sheer awesomeness is more than enough to overcome this minor detail.

There haven’t been many problems with this statue. One of the sole things I found was that some people received him with a tiny hole in his head (backside, where his hair is). Also one arrived broken if I’m not mistaken. All by all, pretty decent.
That said, if you ever have a problem with a statue, don’t hesitate to contact their costumer service. They’re nice and real helpful.

I can’t really say much about this statue. The pictures really speak for themselves. I like this statue, quite a lot, and I advice everyone who wants one to buy it now. F4F statues have the tendency to sell out and get expensive an hard to find on the secondary market.

Conclusion
I’m very happy with this big boy! It’s one of my current favorites from F4F and will look good with the rest of the Ocarina of Time/Majora’s Mask statues. If you are collecting this line, or want a more obscure Legend of Zelda character in your room, you can’t go wrong with this one.
