I don’t usually do that… You know, posting a sneak peak on something. I usually like to wait until the pre-orders are online before informing you of new goodies. But, Lara really touches a weak spot with me and I couldn’t contain my happiness when I saw that there’s going to be another premium format by SideShow Collectibles. So here’s the complete information on that awesome new statue!
You probably have already figured it out that this is the second Premium Format that SideShow releases picturing the lovely Lara Croft. And I must say, this one beats the hell out of the first one!
It’s designed by my all time favorite; Adam Hughes and sculpted by my all time favorite sculpter; Tim Miller. Yes, the same persons that created the Snow Day statue. And you probably already know how much I like that one. The details look amazing, as does her face and outfit.
Only downside for me personally is that the only thing exclusive is the art print. Don’t get me wrong, I love Adam Hughes’ art and I just love prints. It’s just… not much. I want them to include the print but I’d also loved if they included her iconic sunglass or even that lill’ cute parrot beastie that’s on the print… Now, SSC did something that made me wondering, namely they stated this on the website:
The Sideshow Exclusive version of the Lara Croft Premium Format Figure includes a unique feature available nowhere else: Fine Art Print by Adam Hughes / TBC
TBC? To be Concluded? To be Confirmed? To be Continued? Teddies be Cute? I’m just hoping that they’re listening to the fans and included something extra besides the print.
But no matter what they do, we already pre-ordered the exclusive on the SSC website. Will you?
