The only decent Sonic statues are produced by First 4 Figures. They’re the only ones that are creating the iconic figures from both the games and the cartoon I loved as a child. And now, they put the fourth of the series online for pre-order; Knuckles the Echidna!

If you’ve read my review of the previously released statues, you might know that I loved the regular Sonic statue but was a bit disappointed with the Super Sonic statue. Nonetheless, I pre-ordered the Metal Sonic somewhere in June this year.
There were some problems with that one (license expired and they weren’t sure that they’d be able to sell it to European customers) but they fixed that. So we’re normally getting our third number 500 at the end of this year.

But before they even released some production pictures, they are already talking about the next in line. This is the first non-Sonic-y in this line and that fact alone just made my day. There is one thing I’m having mixed feelings about and that is the edition size of the exclusive which they upped from 350 (Super and Metal Sonic exclusives, the first one didn’t have an exclusive edition) to 500 pieces worldwide.
Downside: I like changes in edition sizes as much as I like changes in scale.
Upside: they got 500 pieces now which means I can get the exclusive with my number 500. Nice!

I really love the light up effect on this one, which is a first for me. Just love that lava effect. I’m really looking forward to this statue!
