DIMIC

Did I Mention I'm Crazy?

Get over here! Again…

One of the most epic and oldest game franchises that keeps on producing games is Mortal Kombat. Hey, never said good games. But, number 9 is putting the, somewhat derailed, franchise back on track. This series collected a huge fan base over the past almost twenty years, starting with the arcade cabinets in the year 1992 if I recall this correct. It’s only recent that some producers added this licence to their portfolio for more high-end collectibles. One of them is Pop Culture Shock who we already debated with some articles already here on Dimic. The second one joining is a rather new company called Syco Collectibles.

Syco collectibles already made a few Mortal Kombat related figures. Their newest series however attracted my attention. This series will base their sculptures on the females of Mortal Kombat and is titled Enchanted Warriors. A Win Win situation. I almost always like the females the most and luckily, Ikaryas does to. The first in the series is Kitana and will be followed closely by Mileena, Jade, Sindel, Skarlet and Sonya Blade. Kitana is already fully sculpted and painted although according to them, it’s not the final paint. Also the sculpt of Jade is already finished. The statues will be about 10 inch high so that would make them close to 1/6th scale.

The statues of Syco aren’t yet released so there aren’t any in-hand pictures on the internet. So how they will finish their prototypes and if the sculpt and paint will live up the expectations is still not sure, but for now I have faith in them. They are one of those few companies that are willing to listen to their customers as you can see in the first picture. After lots of comments that she was looking to much with a frown, they tweaked it a bit and I must say that it’s improved. They also place polls considering what the poses should be, which outfits, you name it. I like that in a company.

I’ve pre-ordered my first statue of them, this Kitana, and this will determine if I will order the rest of them. The review will be placed on Dimic, off course. What made me happy as collector is that they are planning to make an exclusive base that will be 11 inch in diameter and that will enable you to place Kitana and Mileena back to back together. This base will be sold exclusively from the website. But I’ll announce it here when it’ll go on pre-order, no worries.
