Did I Mention I'm Crazy?

I wanna do this, no matter the cost!

I’d never thought I’d say this, but I’m actually considering buying another 1/4th scale Mega Man piece. I thought I had the final representation we needed of the blue bomber in our collection but it seems that First 4 Figures had other thoughts about that…

A good while back, we almost bought their original Mega Man statues but in the end didn’t because we weren’t sold on the sculpt nor the pose. The whole concept just didn’t work for us. When we eventually bought a, 1/4th, more realistic stylized, Mega Man (X), that was it. We were content and had the, for us, ultimate representation of the franchise for our collection. Gone were my dark thoughts about the ordeal we had with the anniversary statue. Gone was our desire to add more merchandise of the Mega Man games to our collection.

Stupid First 4 Figures…

We have known that they were planning on releasing a new Mega Man statue for quite a while now. But at first, it was going to be a 1/6th scale (or something like that) PVC figure. Now, while there’s nothing wrong with PVC, we rarely buy it anymore. But then, word went around that they were planning on releasing the same figure as a statue.

I wasn’t interested.

In 1/4th scale.

I was intrigued… But that quickly changed when I saw the full reveal. Now I want it… And that while I’m normally not a big fan of smoke or fire effects or busy bases like this. And I’m still not. Both the regular, featuring Mega Man with weathering effects jumping up to avoid an explosion which causes smoke, and the exclusive that lights up a bunch of stuff, are not to my liking.
Don’t get me wrong. I adore the sculpt and paint of this version, it’s so shiny. And I do like the active pose. And yes, it would look weird without something to warrant that pose but still. Not a fan.
But their definitive edition… Oh man, that is something else.

The definitive version comes with both a rocket (which attaches to the smoke trail behind him) and, get this, a Metall (or Met for friends) flopping around. I absolutely adore Met!! That little guy alone makes me want to buy this statue. And while it makes for a busy base, it just works. I love it!

The regular will be available locally if you want but both the exclusive and the definitive will only be available on the First 4 Figures official website.
As long as you pre-order before the 10th of February 2020, 16:00 Hong Kong time, you are taking advantage of the Early Bird bonuses; a discounted price and extra Reward Points.

So, what’s the price for these? It’s 429.99 USD for both the regular and exclusive and 499.99 USD for the definitive. With the Early Bird pricing which is available until the 10th of February 2020, 16:00 Hong Kong time, it’s 386.99 USD for the regular/exclusive and 449.99 USD for the definitive!

So for me, it’s definitely definitive or bust! What’s your take?
