I’m Ikaryas, I’m the one who came up with this idea and decided on the name given to this little project. Did I Mention I’m Crazy comes forth out of the strange looks we get when people see our collection.

Did I Mention I'm Crazy?

Ya’ know, you don’t have to call me that now. We’re pals.

One game I was really looking forward to on the PS2, and eventually really liked, was Kingdom Hearts. I mean, Square working together with Disney? Don’t tell me that that didn’t sound cool. And luckily it even worked out well as well. Even though we don’t really like action figures, this was one we just wanted to have because he’s just so cool. I’m talking about Square Enix’ King Mickey!

It’s such a shame that there isn’t any decent figures made of this game. There are some so called static arts PVC figures but I don’t really like those. There are also a lot of different action figures and of course the trading arts that I already have. Normally, we’d stick with those trading arts but when we saw this action figure, we just wanted to have it. It’s the only one of the series that we wanted because it’s also the only one we actually like. It was a first for us to decide to not collect an entire line but I’m glad for it. Makes it easier towards the future as well.

Quote-time!

King Mickey, often referred to as The King, His Highness, Your Highness, or more commonly as Your Majesty, is the king of Disney Castle, a recurring character, and, along with Donald and Goofy, the main Disney protagonist in the Kingdom Hearts series. He travels the worlds battling the forces of darkness and is a Keyblade Master, and the chosen Keyblade wielder for the Realm of Darkness, though he follows the path of light. Originally believing that the darkness had to be eliminated, he eventually realized that light and darkness are interdependent and cannot exist without the other due to his encounters with Riku.

If you’ve been following this blog for a while or read some of my posts, and the intro for this one, you know that we don’t like action figures. There are some exceptions like the Neca Bioshock figures and, of course, this one. He’s quite detailed and very prettily finished. Especially his cape is just awesome with the mouse ears, zips and other tiny details. The quality isn’t equal to a full PVC figure but it really isn’t that bad for an action figure really.

He comes with only a few accessories; his Keyblade, two extra hands (making for two fists and two open hands) and that’s it actually… I’d preferred if there were some more like extra Keyblades or something like that but for it’s price, it’s okay I guess. I like the sculpt a lot but his movability leave much to be desired. It really isn’t great mostly because the cape restricts a lot of it’s movement.

Conclusion
Even though he doesn’t have a lot of items and some movement restrictions, I still like him and am glad I bought him. It’s the only one I really like from this series (the Kingdom Hears I series) and the price isn’t that bad. I don’t know whether to recommend him or not.
