Yeah, I don’t think I need to tell you about who this post will be do I? But I will anyhow. It’s about the next Pop Culture Shock Mortal Kombat statue which will be Shao Kahn.
Actually, this is the third statue in the PCS’s Mortal Kombat modern line. Yeah, didn’t really had the time to preview the second one which was Kitana. The exclusive is already waitlisted but the regular is still available. Yeah, while I do think she looked nice, I really can’t wait for his Klassic version of that girl. And while Kitana was a, somewhat, easy pass, this Shao Kahn statue is going to be a bit harder to pass up. But, we don’t do modern pieces. No, we don’t. Okay, I can handle it.
Jerry, the man behind Pop Culture Shock, already told us that the days of pre-ordering stuff on the Sideshow Collectibles website are over. And thus, the only chance to order one of the two versions of Shao Kahn is true email. Yes, there will be two versions made; a regular and a Konqueror edition. So, what’s the difference?
The Regular Edition features Shao Kahn wielding his trademark hammer and both a masked and unmasked switch-out head. It will be limited to 350 pieces and will cost you 350,- USD (excluding shipping).
The Konqueror Edition on the other hand, while including the two heads, will not include the hammer. He is about to throw a spear to his opponent. For this edition, only 150 pieces will be made while the price tag is roughly the same; 360,- USD.
