I’m Ikaryas, I’m the one who came up with this idea and decided on the name given to this little project. Did I Mention I’m Crazy comes forth out of the strange looks we get when people see our collection.

Did I Mention I'm Crazy?

It’s so shiny…

It’s even so shiny that you can see my reflection in some of the pictures. Now, that’s what I call shiny!

You probably already know that Nintendo is one of the best for releasing special edition systems. They started this trend with their ‘Play It Loud!’ campaign back in ’95. In this campaign, Nintendo released several Game Boy models in different colored case, being red, green, black, yellow, blue, white and clear (transparent) cases. They even released a very rare and limited Manchester United edition that was then, and still is, almost impossible to obtain. And they haven’t stopped with this. Even with the 3DS, they’re still releasing special editions but sadly most of the editions are still Japan Exclusives. Luckily for us, this one isn’t.

I’m talking about the Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary edition and the main reason why we bought a 3DS so quickly. We really wanted to wait until Nintendo releases a newer version with better battery life, lighter and who knows what, but I just loved this edition. I love black consoles and handhelds and the gold accents really finishes this edition. It’s tasteful and absolutely not overdone. A lot of people argued that they preferred a complete golden edition like they did with the GBA SP but honestly? I highly prefer this edition. That doesn’t say that I’m not still looking for that golden SP.

Included with this edition is also the remake of the N64 Zelda game named The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. And they didn’t just included that game, they included the special edition of this game. What’s so special about it? I’ll tell you! It’s a reverse-able cover! *Holds up ‘CHEER’ sign*

And that somewhat concludes my review. I know, I haven’t said much about it. Isn’t much to tell about either since I’m talking about the edition and not the actual machine. Want to know my opinion about that thing as well? Okay, I’ll talk a bit about it.

One of the main problems people have with the 3DS is that they get a headache or viewing trouble after a certain amount of time playing on it. Ingis has this problem as well but I luckily don’t. I love this machine and absolutely loved the new Super Mario 3D Land! Haven’t played the remake of Ocarina of Time but what I’ve seen in Super Mario Land 3D already satisfies me in the power of this little thing. Like with the Wii controls and the Kinect experience, if done well, it guarantees a lot of fun and a rememberable experience. There aren’t many games out yet that I really want (although I can name a few), there are some real gems coming! I’m especially looking forward to the new Luigi’s Mansion! LOVED that game!

Conclusion
If you want a 3DS now and if you really like Zelda, I highly recommend this edition. It’s just so shiny!
Pros
– It’s so shiny! I love shiny things
– It came with the ‘special edition’ cover of the game
– It’s so pretty! Oh, wait… isn’t that the same as shiny? neh
Cons
– Not any extra’s
– Don’t really dare to play on it
