Who doesn’t remember that epic scene in which princess Leia uses R2-D2 to ask Obi-Wan for help? Who didn’t fantasize as a kid (and now still) about being able to create realistic holograms and scare the crap out of your elderly neighbors? Well, I got news for you! The Star Wars technology may be closer than we think!

Some peeps had nothing better to do than connect a Kinect and try to get a realistic hologram…

Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope.

It isn’t perfect yet but we’re getting closer! At least closer at creating something cooler than Microsoft has made ’till now… (of course excluding Child of Eden, but hey, it isn’t released yet so technically I’m good)
