I don’t believe it! Most companies take about a year before releasing the pre-orders for a new product in a line but Syco Collectibles just released the third one from their Enchanted Warriors line: Mileena. Here’s hoping that they haven’t bitten more then they can chew…

If you’re a bit familiar with the Mortal Kombat games, you might know that Mileena isn’t human.  Mileena was originally known as the personal assassin of the Outworld’s evil emperor Shao Kahn and twin sister of his stepdaughter Princess Kitana, but in a truth she is a deformed clone of Kitana created by the sorcerer Shang Tsung. Of course, that isn’t the part that made that family a bit weird.
The parts that did that will probably be because:
A) Kahn killed the parents of Kitana
B) Mileena is a half-Tarkatan clone (hence her weirdo eyes and the ugly-ass lower part of her face)
C) Or that Mileena plots to kill her ‘sister’ (Kitana) to take over her throne and her life

But enough of that, let’s get to the statue!
I still don’t know if Syco Collectibles can deliver us the quality that we’ve come to expect from most statue manufacturers/companies. And I must say that I find this one the less appealing one of the line so far. I just don’t like the pose. I’d preferred it if they gave her a sai (that trident-like-weapon-thingie) in both hands instead of just her right one (see picture 8). It would have been more appropriate as well since her signature weapon is the dual-wielding sai. But lookie, I found the official render on which the statue is probably, most likely, based (see last image).

We’re still debating whether to start with this line or not. I like this line. I love the uniformity of it. But, I don’t really feel this one… The debate continues…
