You know I love to play games. On PC I mainly play The Sims, Age of Empires and, of course, Anno. I loved 1701 and 1404 (never played 1602 or 1503, Ingis did). So when I heard there’s a new one in the making I was trilled! And that’s an understatement!
Anno 2070 (yes, they keep doing the number 9 thingie) is truly a new member of an old franchise. Where the setting in the previous games was always the past, in Anno 2070 the setting is futuristic. The climate has changed considerably and has forced us humans to adapt to the rising sea levels. Because of this, the only land left isn’t fertile anymore and so we need to master new technologies to face the upcoming challenges. Oh, it’s numerous ecological challenges. Even better! I’m hoping on BlueByte to make this like the last Anno but better! More options, more choices, more disasters, … Just more!
There isn’t much information available yet but I’ve got some screen shots for you. Oh and apparently you can choose between two factions: the industrial typed Tycoons or the environmentalistic Eco’s. Is that even a word? Now it is.

This new concept looks bold but very interesting. I can’t wait ’till this winter when it will be released! I’m crossing my fingers for a nice special edition. Loved the Anno 1404 one! Please Ubi!
