One of my recent weaknesses is lithographs. It all started with a Mass Effect 2 lithograph and it quickly went downhill from then. Not that I already have many but when I do see one that I like, I just buy it. And just like with the rest of things I buy, I’m seldom stopped by the cost of it. Of course, what kind of collector are you if you get stopped by something that mundane?
So when I received my newest addition, I was thrilled!

I just loved the first Assassin’s Creed. What greater joy is there then to scale buildings, jump off of them, wait for guards on a square and rumble with them? Sadly I must admit that I haven’t had the chance to play either the second or Brotherhood yet. But they are on my to do list like so many other great games…

Since I’m always scaling the Internet in search for things to spend my money on, I quickly discovered the UbiWorkshop. There I just fell in love with one of their lithographs they are selling. I found, and still do, it absolutely stunning! I just adore the chosen setting. Oh, and those details!
When you should first give this litho a quick glance, it may seem like a scene from some western movie. But then, when you look more closely, you’ll see all those amazing details that lets you doubt that this is based on the Assassin’s Creed lineage. Just look at the shape of his hat, the shape of the belt/vest, the little logo’s stamped on the bottom of the bullets, the extractable gun(s) and the ring on the dead mans finger. All are marks towards the guild of assassin’s or the templars. It’s just absolutely stunning!

The art is printed on rough paper, not the glossy paper they normally use for litho’s. I like it. It really suits the print better then on glossy. At least, I think since I haven’t seen it on glossy… Nonetheless, I like the choice they made for the paper. The colors are a bit washed, partly because of the paper, and really bring that dusty western look out. There aren’t many made of this, only a shabby 60. Which is one of the lowest edition sizes I’ve seen so far for a sold-in-shop lithograph. The price is also a bit higher then the usual litho’s, 80 CAD. But after receiving mine (and well packed I must say), I haven’t regret it one second. And luckily, Ingis doesn’t either.
