The second in Gaming Head’s Left for Dead line finally makes its appearance! Say hello to the Smoker.

You might remember seeing the first one, the Tank, in my post about my visit to the Valve Studios in Seattle two years ago. I really liked that one but because Ingis isn’t for horror-themed stuff, we never bought it nor the Headcrab Zombie from Half-Life… But that doesn’t keep me from previewing the Smoker!

The Smoker is an Infected with a long, whip-like tongue which can be launched out of its mouth at high speeds, and when it reaches one of the Survivors, it automatically wraps around the target’s body and drags him/her back towards the Smoker. If any obstacles block the victim from being dragged to the Smoker, he will choke his target instead.

Sounds like a swell guy to hang out with.

But holy smokes! Isn’t he just lovely? Didn’t Gaming Heads do a wonderful job on replicating him? Not only is the sculpt as grotesque as his in-game counterpart, the paint is also bloodcurdling creepy. I just love it! And, where the Tank had a shotgun included as exclusive, the Smoke exclusive comes with a fire axe which is a great tool to cut that tongue of his. And what’s also neat is that it’s a loose prop so you position it as you wish.

The exclusive has an edition size of 350 while there are going to be 750 of the regular which is almost the same edition size as for the Tank. That one had 50 less of the exclusive. While these have edition size that are quite low, shops are throwing these to your head. These just don’t sell so you don’t really have to hurry getting them. A shame really since these are quite nice…
