I’m Ikaryas, I’m the one who came up with this idea and decided on the name given to this little project. Did I Mention I’m Crazy comes forth out of the strange looks we get when people see our collection.

Did I Mention I'm Crazy?

A lot of bare skin… and a pumpkin! [NSFW]

It’s been a while since I last reviewed a not-safe-for-work figure, or anything really… So, I thought it was time to dig up some old shots and properly introduce this pixie to you.

WARNING: This is not safe for work. Also not suitable for people under the age of 18. Not that you’d care, you’ll probably click anyway. Just saying.

This is one of our oldest figures and incidentally also one we hesitated a long time before actually purchasing. The reason is simple, while we like NSFW figures, it’s quite hard to justify the purchase when you can’t really display them. We still need to buy a display cabinet for our bedroom. Still, we wanted to own her simply because she’s so darn cute. So, when we stumbled across her fairly cheap, we decided to buy her.

So, who am I ranting on about? Well, her name is Hiyori Pixy and she from the series ChuxChu Idol which is an adult game series as far as I can tell. Since I don’t think there are English subbed versions, I highly doubt that I’ll ever actually know what the series is about although it isn’t that hard to guess. So, while we know nothing about her, we did buy her simply because she looks so cute.

The figure is made by Good Smile Company back in 2008-2009 and she’s pretty tiny being an 1/8th scale figure but, especially for such an older figure, she’s quite nice.. The details are well done, the paint application is great and I just love the pose and her face. I also really like her pumpkin headdress with the flowing blue veil. While this is a cast-off figure, I highly prefer her with her clothes one. It’s just a lot cuter that way and also the reason we bought her in the first place. The cast-off is just a nice little extra. But sadly, because it features cast-off clothing, there are horrible seams in the blue transparent leg pieces. Well, I say horrible, which they are, they don’t really annoy me which seams usually tend to do.

When you choose to undress her you’ll notice right away that her neck is a bit too long when viewed from some angles. But, and that’s another reason I prefer her clothed, it isn’t a problem when she’s wearing her body suit.

There’s nothing to tell you regarding issues since not only don’t I know anyone that owns this personally but also because PVC figures rarely have issues. I also haven’t heard or seen anything regarding bootlegs which is also a good thing.

And lastly, there’s one other figure released by Good Smile Company which I still intent to get someday. I’ve included a picture of her in the gallery. Isn’t that little bat cute?

Conclusion
Definitely a cute figure to get. Only the elongated neck looks a bit weird from some angles without her body suit. While I would never pay the price they’re asking for on Ebay, I still recommend her to anyone that likes these kind of figures.

Item reviewed: Hiyori Pixy from ChuxChu Idol
Type: PVC
Manufacturer: Good Smile Company
Variations: none
Rarity: Not that hard to find and neither really expensive.

So while I’ve liked these types of figures for a while, I’ve only recently been able to afford them. I’ve got 2 from the most recent con near me but if I were looking for something without an upcoming con a little more specific item such as this where do you recommend I buy it?

    • Well, if you’re looking for these kind of figures (NSFW) then I’d recommend the following sites:
AmiAmi: web shop based in Japan. Legit and good service.
My Figure Collection: community driven by private collectors. Better than Ebay because the stuff for sale has to be legit.

It all depends on where you’re located of course. For instance, we also buy our stuff from La Cite Des Nuages (France) and Galaxy Shop (Netherlands). In any way, I’d stay away from Ebay. Too many bootlegs are on it… Also, on My Figure Collection, you can see if there are any known bootlegs from the figures you’re looking for. Mind you, just because they’re not mentioned doesn’t mean that there aren’t any. But at least it’s a start 🙂 Good luck!
